World Hat Walk: London
The World Hat Walk is all about collaboration, friendship, fun and, of course, HATS! This is a global celebration that everyone can be a part of; wherever they live, whatever their background and regardless of whether they are a regular hat wearer or not.
Put on a hat and join us for a very special Sunday afternoon promenade through the streets of London.
We’ll be walking along the south side of the River Thames, a route that offers stunning views of some of the city’s iconic landmarks while avoiding the London Marathon crowds (as the race mainly takes place on the north side of the river and further east).
Gather at 2:00 pm in Minerva Square (across from Southwark Cathedral – on the river side) for photos before we set off.
We’ll walk at a leisurely place, with plenty of time for conversation and more photo opportunities. The route is pedestrian-friendly and wheelchair accessible, although it is outdoors on a paved path and there might be slight inclines at certain points.
You can use Google Maps to find the meeting point. The nearest tube station is London Bridge – exit the station at Tooley Street (step-free).
All are welcome to attend this free event. Just remember to wear a hat!
